Oppy has developed "Octopus", a low-cost, autonomous underwater surveillance system for seabed defense and monitoring.
Oppy identified an interesting technological innovation from Sabella and developed an intelligent tidal turbine as a coastal monitoring system.
We designed the development and qualification plan for the Octopus concept. We took part in drawing up the technical offer and the call for tenders, in collaboration with the company's resources.
The system consists of a tidal turbine powering the system, 2
HUBs, 2 acoustic sensors on each HUB, a shore station, and cables to distribute the energy.
Development of a secure cloud architecture and addition of environmental and seismic sensors.
Adding a HUB and associated sensors.
Adding Tidal turbines
Addition of an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) or UUV (Unmanned Underwater Vehicle) system including a ground segment.
